About

A Small Experience can Lead to Something Great
 Great Heights

A small private stable affords people the unique opportunity to grow, learn, and develop their skills without pressure, pomp, or pandemonium. Our home is extended to you, with the hopes that you will feel part of the family while working with the horses. The individualization, attention to detail, and care afforded to you when working in a one on one situation without any distractions on real horses is something most other barns cannot offer. Who says that simple equates with compromise?

Come and brush the horses, sit with them while they eat, learn some groundwork, ride casually or engage in a serious program- it's up to you!

Roman Holiday

"I am a 7 year old Trakehner/Holsteiner/TB cross. I am the little guy on the farm and am also the safest. I just like to be very calm all the time. Mom liked me for my consistent temperament, fearlessness, and safe body, but I'm surprising her with all my other amazing talents. Come meet me! I love grooming, snuggling, and long walks."

Our Family

"Named for my size, I am an 11 year old Dutch Warmblood/Percheron originally purchased for dad. But I love working so much and am so good about everything, mom's looking for other people who can play with me. I am big, bold, beautiful, and extremely relaxed. Don't let my size deter you- I am just very tall, not wide or clunky at all. Come learn bridleless riding, trail ride, or learn how to coordinate aids on me."

Orion's Revival

"Have you ever met a horse with a mustache? I have one (when mom let's me keep it!). I am a 12 year old Dutch Warmblood with a bit of Clydesdale and have a special story. I am a cuddle monster- my favorite is having my head held, my eyes rubbed, and just walking around with people. I am a liberty pro and love meditating. Apparently I am good at it.... would you like to spend some time with me too?

Atlas

"As a 10 year old Sport Horse, I got all the brains in the family...some would say too smart. I am for the advanced horse person only unless you just want to go for a walk, learn roping, or try polo! I do all sorts of tricks too- like fetch, Spanish walk, and am learning some new ones. Do you have treats? Visit me first!"

TerraNova

Robin has been riding, working with horses, and compulsively learning everything she can about them since she was a tiny child. Years later, after working in all sorts of barns, riding all disciplines, and experiencing mainstream equine industry at its fullest, she has fulfilled a life long dream of having her horses right at home. Knowing this is something many dream about, but cannot fit into their lives, she thought of opening up her home to share with others- something she wished she had had access too before coming to this point. Her goal is to help people realize how fun horses can be when things are simple, safe, and systematic. Bringing over 20 years of special education to the game, means that regardless of your learning style, you will have fun, make progress, and be understood as an individual here at Great Heights.

When Seth met Robin, he knew he had to become a horseman to tie the knot. Now, after working with all the horses from the ground up, going to clinics, and being bombarded with endless horse theorizing from Robin and her horse friends, Seth has amassed a great deal of knowledge. If you prefer learning with a man's point of view, Seth's calm patience around the horses is contagious. His less is more approach often results in brave horses and confident riders. And if you want to talk golf while going on a trail ride- he's definitely your man!
