Each session will progressively build your skills and knowledge through structured, guided exercises that focus on breath, thoughts, somatic sensations, the environment, and of course, our horses and what they are telling us.

​

By committing to at least a month, your interactions with the horses directly will increase too!

These are Equine Led Mindfulness Sessions. What does that mean?

Using the horses to guide our internal systems and external expressions of our being, we practice true attunement, being fully present, having non-judgmental thoughts, and developing deep awareness of the felt senses, emotions, and thoughts we have. 

In an age where eating healthy and exercising are stressed as everyday self-care practices, we are grossly neglecting our mental health, which has never been in more danger.

 

Let's open up a discussion and start exploring ways to care for our mind.

Mindfulness Sunday

$10           *by appointment

Spend some time on Sunday drawing, painting, reading, journaling, etc. with the horses. 

Bring your materials or we can supply some and find a sun spot to let down, reflect, and get organized internally for the week ahead. 

Exploring Ourselves through the Horse's Eyes

As fellow mammals, we can learn so much about ourselves by observing the horse. During our sessions, we learn about topics such as:

  • how to create connections

  •  recognize subtle ways were are actually creating disconnection

  • how to shift more into the present, becoming attuned to ourselves and the world around us

  • ways to reduce depression and anxiety

  • how to steer away from judgmental thoughts and negative self-talk patterns

  • channel more healing Theta brain waves (use my Muse2 device to check your practice)

  • expand your listening and observation skills to take in your internal state, your body space and the world around you

  • increase awareness of your body language and what it means

Horses Heal

The Science has finally caught up with what horse people have intuitively known for ages: horses heal. Check out our Facebook page (Great Heights Stable) to read more. 

Being around horses makes us feel better- our heart rate lowers, our blood pressure goes down, we start producing calming 'feel good' chemicals... the boys are four-legged therapists!

Whatever you have on your mind, in your heart, spending some time connecting with the horses and then yourself once a week is worth it. 

Give yourself permission to slow down, find clarity, physical and mental balance through simple exercises.
