Moms and Horses
We live in a society that encourages moms to put themselves last. We make sure that the needs of our family is always met before ever stopping to consider what we need. For many of us, transitioning our minds and bodies to 'mom' is a challenge. I'm not just talking about regaining control and confidence with our weight, but also with our mental state, our self-esteem, and the hard to talk about 'issues' that crop up after a difficult birth.

After having my own son, I realized how powerful horses
were on the road to recovery. I had so many issues to work
through-I was up over 45 pounds, I had crippling anxieties and
feelings of worthlessness, and there were the physical issues.
Pushing a baby out wreaks havoc- my core strength was not what
it was and that was leading to all sorts of issues. Little did I know,
but riding solve almost everything I was struggling with. Riding
horses, working on specific targeted exercises, fixed my anxiety, my physical issues (can we say bladder control, ladies!) , and led to a drastic weight loss that left me feeling more confident than I had been on my wedding day! And my son gained massive benefit from this too- while helping myself, I was actually inadvertently working on my relationship with my son.
